Cookie Policy

Summary

This page explains the cookies and similar storage VoxBooster uses on voxbooster.com. It complements our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and — only with your consent — measure traffic and the effectiveness of our ads.

2. Cookies we set

Strictly necessary (always on)

These cannot be switched off because the site does not function without them. No consent is required under GDPR.

  • session — keeps you signed in. Set by BetterAuth on login. Expires when you sign out or after a long period of inactivity.
  • vox_consent — stores your consent decision for this banner. 1 year.
  • vox.ref — captures the affiliate referral code when you land via a ?ref= link, so the affiliate gets credit if you sign up. 30 days.
  • vox.locale — remembers the language you picked in the language switcher. 1 year.

Analytics (opt-in)

Set only after you accept analytics in the consent banner.

  • _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4. Aggregated metrics about page views, traffic sources, and on-site behavior. 2 years. Set by googletagmanager.com.

Marketing (opt-in)

Set only after you accept marketing in the consent banner.

  • _gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_dc — Google Ads conversion linker. Lets us measure which ad clicks led to subscriptions. Up to 90 days.

Preferences (opt-in)

Reserved for future opt-in personalization features. We do not currently set cookies in this category.

3. Managing your choices

On your first visit you can choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize per category. To change your decision later, clear the vox_consent cookie from your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit and you can pick again.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies globally or per site. Doing so may break sign-in.

4. Consent Mode

We use Google Consent Mode v2. When you reject analytics or marketing, Google tags either do not fire or fire in a privacy-preserving mode without setting identifying cookies.

5. Third-party cookies

Cookies set by Google (Analytics + Ads) are governed by Google’s own privacy policy. We only allow them to fire after you opt in via the banner.

6. Updates

We may update this page as we change how the site is instrumented. Material changes are noted in the “Last updated” date at the top.
